Dennis Quaid replaced him, but Liotta is still mentioned in the director’s credits
Synopsis
A fading celebrity takes a black-market drug: a cell-replicating substance that temporarily creates a younger, better version of herself. There is nothing more terrifying than being human, and these films explore the utterly inhuman ways our bodies can betray us. From creepy to daring, here are five body horror movies you might have missed. Ray Liotta was cast in the film in February 2022, but died in May of that year before he could shoot his scenes.

Every scene in this movie blew me away at TIFF
Pump It Up Written by Michael Hall, Leonardo Stella Performed by Earl Gregory Produced by Julien Deguin. Casting, atmosphere, visual and sound design, music and of course the symbolism of it all. Demi Moore and Margaret Qualley could not have been better chosen for the lead roles. Their commitment to the process and trust in their director was clear to me.
It’s deeper than that
Their vulnerability leads to this and leads to a very convincing fever dream. Everyone involved should be really proud of this film. For me, it’s a future cult classic. It’s a body/psychological horror, so don’t expect a jump scare.
But it’s also extremely fun to watch!
I found myself lost in thought during the movie (as a 47 year old woman, this really spoke to me). Take it seriously as a true work of art, but not at the same time and you’ll have fun..
